"Celebrating This Forth Of July Like Never Before"

Roses trying to beat the heat.  93 degree today. No wind a hot 4th of July tomorrow. 7-3-2019 Perryton, TX

The hot days are here to stay awhile I'm sure. It's 93 degree today, and no breeze at all. I will not be going to the lake tomorrow to celebrate the 4th of July. It's always even hotter at the lake. A huge crowd is expected with many already there. With all the recent rain we've had the dam is running over. I do miss going there after fifty years of being there nearly every 4th. I have no family here anymore but one son, so I will be with my one son who is disabled, and has to stay inside to breath. Most of my friends will be with their families either here or somewhere else. The luncheon at the Center today was missing a lot of members who have already started celebrating. I expect Friday to be the same since most won't come back home till the week-end. Five of the regulars from my table were there today, but a lot of tables were empty. At least the dinning room is decorated nicely, and we enjoyed all of the various things that symbolize Independence Day. We had a nice lunch, and most everyone was ready to leave sooner than usual.

As a child growing up I can't remember ever missing a 4th of July when large family groups got together for a picnic. My brothers always had fire crackers to set off, and the girls were given sparklers to light. Home made ice cream was a must on the 4th. We were taught from the cradle up to celebrate Independence Day. The day when America won their freedom from England. For over two hundred and fifty years many lives have been lost for trying to keep that freedom. Today we are still losing lives for trying to keep that freedom. But the sad thing is many illegal immigrants have managed to enter the United States, and have greatly managed to change our laws or ignore them. This was done with the help of legal citizens who managed to get elected, and fight for the illegals to have equal voting rights. Yes indeed, Congress is where the problem is, and it seems as though it will never be fixed because of too many traitors voting for the loss of our country. I have faith to believe that God has given us a President whom He can guide through all the loop holes, and finally be a victor of the filthy politics. We see strength mounting every day for President Trump. I believe he will win the next election, and after his next four years are up, God has another to step into his shoes. Peace on earth will never be until Jesus comes back to bring it. Until then let us be faithful unto Him, and help our Godly leaders in any way we can. Please have a safe, and happy 4th of July.

God Bless
Myrtle Jean Sharp
