"Peace That Passeth All Unserstanding"

Nothing is better than relaxing on a Sunday afternoon watching the slowly developing Hurricane Dorian, dominate the news. It has been the main story for several days now. Everything seems to be if, and when about this raging storm. Of course if I was in the vicinity of it's damaging power I would be more interested in watching it also. I pray it will not hit the shores of the U S before it dissipates. I have to believe this storm is a deterrent by mother nature to allow time for more silence while drastic news is developing. News that will expose some of the evil doings among some of our top Government leaders who have turned into rebels. Never doubt that things of great importance is not being investigated daily. We must keep our faith in the God of all creation. He has not stopped fighting this battle of evil, and He will bring us to victory.

I listened to a speaker in church this morning who waited two years to find the bones of his missing seventeen year old son. He never gave up hope that his son would be found alive, but the bad news didn't hinder his faith in God. He said God spoke to him and said, “I have your son in heaven.” This father was then able to travel, and tell others just how great God is. He does not know what happened to his son as there are no clues at all, but he said, “I don't care what happened to him because I know he is in heaven.” I believe this boy was a senior because his picture was on the news in his graduation picture, but he never graduated. He just disappeared without any sign of what, where, or exactly when. The search lasted for two years with hundreds of law officers, and people of deep compassion, never to slack up. But when the bones were finally located there was nothing to give a reason of what happened. However the father said the investigation was still on going, regardless of the news saying it was closed. This father happens to live one block from me, and I personally know he has been converted long before his son came up missing. The father and mother of this boy was divorced, and the boy lived with his mother, but had a good relationship with his father.

This story touched the hearts of everyone in church this morning. It should have caused a lot of people to be more thankful for God's mercy. This speaker does not go to our church, but the church he has attended for years was also mentioned. He said he had gone to church for years, but never felt anything but just a member. He said church does not make you a Christian any more than sitting in your garage makes you a car. This should have been a wake-up call for a lot of people. Let us seek God daily for His will in our lives.

God Bless
