"Clean Up America"
Ha, ha, I just spent 2 and 1/2 hours digging grass out of my front yard flower beds. 7-2-2018 Perryton, TX
With just two days left before the Fourth of July I have been trying to decide what to do. I probably will go with a friend to Lake Fryer and have lunch at the park. I just hate to not take my car in case I cannot stand the heat as long as they want to stay. It is still in the decision process, and I will do something to celebrate. My next-door neighbor has already put up a big American flag on his house. I am seeing more flags waving this year than ever before. People are now realizing how close we are to losing our country to dictatorship. The fight is on, and I for one am fighting with all my heart to help our President save our country. To put it mildly this nation we call America is in serious trouble. My spirit gets wounded every day, but the wounds quickly heal, and I am back on the front lines again. When I am no longer able to fight for our country I want to leave this world for my eternal home. No evil, or corruption will ever be allowed to enter there. All will be joy, and peace, forever more. I have felt for many years that America would be fighting within her own boundaries before my life ended. That fact is now happening, in a much bigger way than ever before. I have never lost faith it God, but I can't say that about some of my own party members. The GOP is divided in a way that our President is having to trust God instead of them to get things done. That's o k, because God is much more important than they anyway. Strange things are happening, and I believe we haven't seen nothing yet. The Almighty is all powerful, and will not let his people be defeated. If you are not sure which side you're on it's now time to be positive, and speak up. Otherwise keep losing sleep.

This is how I was dressed
this morning while doing hard work in my flower beds, The sun was
shinning brightly on me, but my hat kept my face from blistering, The
OFF spray kept the mosquitoes from biting me. My flower beds are
clean without even one blade of grass. However, I do have another
long strip along the side of the house that has to be cleaned. It
just mostly has mint plants that grow faster than grass. It
multiplies fast also, It covers the ground where the rose bushes, and
winter chrysanthemums are growing. I like the mint smell, but it
grows, and spreads too fast. My good neighbor sent some high school
boys, who work for the school through the summer, to my house this
morning to haul off a large, heavy, bookcase I no longer wanted to
use on the patio. This guy is a blessing in disguise, but I knew it
was him, because he teaches at school. I really appreciate this
neighbor.

"The Sunflower Follows The Sun"
My sunflowers have grown almost into the trees. At the top of the picture. 7-1-2018 Perryton, TX
This is the sun flower
that the birds planted. It will get much taller, and the flowers will
get much bigger. I can see six altogether that will open up. It is
very hot today, and I will be watering when the sun starts to go
down. There are some ripe strawberries on the plants. They will make
good strawberry short cakes. The lawn will get mowed again tomorrow.
We already need more rain. The thundering and lightening last night
didn't produce one drop of rain. The past two nights it seemed sure
to rain, but missed us completely. We have had nearly 10 inches
though, in the past two weeks.
Church services today were refreshing. A nice crowd of people, and a good sermon was fitting to be praised. God always blesses those who put him first. We rejoice every time a new family joins our church. As has been the case many times before, Satan waits till I get home from church to attack me. Today he tried hard to destroy my victory. The thing I was giving praises unto God for, Satan said you're being fooled. It's not that way at all. Can we wonder why that evil snake would be so quick to tackle us when we see every day more and more of these vipers crawling in every direction? I admit I will be on pins and needles for a few days now, until I can rest assured that the devil was lying to me. I use to never be weak with my faith, but something has happened to change all of that. The reality is, God is giving people what they deserve because they became frantic over the way He punishes evil. Is there such a thing as good evil? Not really, but we try to make excuses for those who are totally ignorant of the wrath of God. The evil they live with is buried beneath their desire to be called wise, and understanding. Evil cannot go unpunished even though the Eve's that was caught up in it, was once good. If I lose this one, I will fight even harder to win the next one. I have been worried in times past of making that one bad mistake like Eve did, but so far the worry was always in vain, and I escaped the fear. It could have been just the mercy of God with me, but I felt like I was lucky, and needed to be more wise next time. I feel that the latter was the right feeling for me. We should never take God for granite. I might add, when you realize you've been taken by evil. You need to rebuke that demon in the name of Jesus, and he will flee from you. A way is waiting for you to chose for the better, but you must trust God for all things. Just stop being foolish, and claim the wisdom of Solomon.

"This Sunset Changed My Mood"
Last night I had to take this picture just as the sun went down. This the view from my patio. 6-30-2018 Perryton, TX
Just as the sun went down
last night I got my shot of inspiration, and my day ended in peace,
and joy, after all. My blank silence through out the day turned to
ambition, and I worked outside until nearly dark. This morning I went
straight to the yard and spent 2 ½ hours pulling weeds, and wild
grass out of my flower garden. I am still very tired this afternoon,
but feel anything but blank thoughts. I was too tired to go to the
Widower's meeting, but so happy to have my yard looking good. My
mosquitoes spray is not my favorite cologne, but it wasn't too bad.
At least I didn't get one bite. I did a lot of rock lifting, and
tying up the asparagus stalks from off the ground for which I already
feel soreness coming on, but that too will be o k tomorrow. It's not
like I'm not used to hard work. When you're down you're down, but
when you're up you're up. I am up most of the time, thank God. For
those who read my blog yesterday you already know I had a down day. I
feel blessed that we didn't have rain last night. I had watered until
dark, but after I went to bed it thundered and lightened, and the
weather map on television showed rain in our area. We didn't get one
drop. If it had of rained I couldn't have cleaned the weeds out of my
flower garden. The watering I did made the ground just right for
pulling the weeds. I am hoping for rain tonight. I truly believe it
will happen. Rain or shine, I'm going to church tomorrow. I can't
wait for a bath, and fixing my hair. I almost feel like I have the
world by the tail.
I have not made plans for the Forth of July. I might stay home, since last year I planned to go to our lake a few miles away, but it stormed. Our lake is one place you don't want to be when it storms. The weather report says rain and storm clouds are expected for several days in our area. I probably will cook out on the grill for Chuck and I. We neither one care about fireworks any more. Those days are long past. We can't stand the heat any more either. For many years my husband and I took our family to this lake on the Fourth of July and stayed till long after dark watching the fire works. It took over an hour to drive the seventeen miles home, due to all the string of cars that left at the same time. I don't have that much patience anymore either. As a child the Forth of July was a most exciting time for me. We always had a large family gathering, and had freezers full of home made ice cream. The small children always had small fire crackers to light, and the older ones had larger ones. It was a happy jubilee time. Time does change everything.
