"The Light Of The World"

So glad to see the sun today after several days of only clouds. 10-5-2019 Perryton, TX

The sun is showing it's face early this morning, although it is already hiding behind the clouds. We have had rain every day this week. I had to go to Liberal, Kansas on some business yesterday, and drove through heavy fog all the way. Since I had missed the trip with the seniors to check out the new Casino in Guymon, Oklahoma the day before, because of having to work, I swung back by there yesterday on my way home from Liberal. It was later on in the evening when I got home, although I did enjoy my short time spent there. I met friends from several surrounding areas, and was pleased to see everyone having such a good time. The place is very nice with so many modern conveniences till the time can quickly slip away. I had planned to be home before dark, but didn't quite make it. I wasn't tired, and had a good night's sleep.

I see so many different kind of people who have retired, and are living out the rest of their life, some in agonizing distress, others in pure pleasure. I know some who have made a lot of money in life, but are now so bent in keeping every penny of it. As a result they have lost most of their mind except enough to keep themselves depressed, and have no friends. I have a good, personal friend in this condition, but we cannot be of any good to each other anymore. I still see her occasionally, and she asks me the same questions sometimes five or six times within an hour. She has lots of money, yet she eats like she is penniless when she goes to the hamburger place to eat. She always orders something less expensive than a hamburger. This person used to dress fashionable, keep her hair looking like a star, and never met a stranger. Now she wears the same cloths for weeks at a time, although I'm sure she washes them, and never does anything to her hair but let it grow. She has been a Christian for years, but I feel like she doesn't even remember God now. I look at her and say, Lord help me to never become like that. I see other people who have retired on a small pension, and are as happy as a lark. They never fail to look for some kind of pleasure they can afford. I meet just such kind of people at the Casino's a lot. They are not the kind who take their bill money and risk it to make more money. Their main idea is to get out of the house, and meet other people who are equal to them. Anyone can say that life can be hard for all, and there is always a battle that has to be fought, but we must accept that, and trust God for support. He will never fail. He has brought me through many, and I know He will continue to do so.

"Not My Best Time To Take A Selfie"

Tired but happy to be going to a meeting with a friend. 10-3-2019 Perryton, TX
I'm a little tired after working today, and not too excited about going to this meeting, but I promised this friend I would go so very soon I will be gone. I don't have much time to spend on my blog today. but didn't want to miss saying hello to everyone. This meeting is going to be good as it is being given by a lady who has become very successful in teaching others on “Creating brilliance.” She has 200 employees, and has written books on this subject. She will be speaking at the college here in Perryton tonight. I have no idea what to expect, but it does sound good. I could use some advise on how to become more brilliant, if that is what I think it might be. I just quickly took my own picture because I had no time to find another, and no time to expound on anything else. This picture is very truthful, without any disguise at all. I hope I can manage to put on a nicer face when I get to the meeting . Some days are just more tiring on me than others. I certainly am not angry, instead I am very happy behind that frown.

It's time for my friend to be here so I will sign off for now, and will tell you all about the meeting latter on. I will be rested when tomorrow comes.

"An Artists Vision"

Awesome painting by the Master Artist. Taken from my back yard last evening.  10-3-2019 Perryton, TX
I saw this beautiful painting last evening in the sky shown by the Master Artist Himself. I am inspired today to compete with this Spiritual Artist by listening more carefully to his instructions. All I need to do is listen, and follow the lines, not my own lines. I have three unfinished portraits that have been put on hold long enough. I'm coming to grips with myself, and will not turn lose again till I have finished these portraits. I know my instructor is here, I just can't see Him. I think my problem mostly is I feel too connected to my television to fully consecrate on anything else. I don't want to miss the blows our President are throwing back to all those bully fighters who are challenging him. I just want to help him, but I'm convinced he doesn't need my help. He is doing a good job knocking them out. I will get back to my painting, and listen to the President while I paint. I have a T V just a few feet between me and my easel. However, I'm not sure my instructor will be tolerate of that. I'm listening now to President Trump respond to House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, and Congressman, Adam Schiff, after their press conference this morning. The President is slugging with both fists, and is knocking both of them down. Oh! How I love fights like this, because it is all about God, and evil. I stayed home from lunch at the Center this morning just so I could watch all this excitement. Now I have to eat left-over beans, and sour kraut, with sausage. But it was worth it. I'll take the evening off tomorrow to attend a meeting at the College with a friend, listening to a speaker who is widely known for her motivational remarks on “Creating Brilliance.” I could use some of that, but today I will stay home, and hopefully accomplish something worth talking about.

I have enjoyed most of my life living in peace, with a God given talent of feeling like a peacemaker. But if it comes to the point of putting God before Satan by taking a stand, I am bound to do it. I truly believe we have come to that war zone, and must now fight our way through. No one is happy to do that, but we are forced to if we refuse to accept other God's beside the only one true God. We've been taught all of our lives that this time would come, but we hoped it would be after we were taken out of this life. I may not live to see the worst of this war, but I've already seen more than I wanted. We must now embrace the sad good-byes to many of our friends, and loved ones, who have not accepted the true God, and will be caught up in Satan's deceit. In other words the time has come for all of us to be challenged like never before.

"Showers Of Blessings For Me"

Not too noticeable, but the rain is pouring down on my driveway. 10-1-2019 Perryton, TX

No sunshine today. I've posted a picture of the rain that has been pouring down off, and on all day. We have already gotten 1 ½ inches so far at 4 o'clock pm. But although I haven't seen the sun today I can feel it in my soul. I have had one of the most blessed days that I have had in a long time. Nothing especially it's just that I am so energetic, and have been thinking positive all day. I'm afraid to boast for fear this good feeling may not last long. But for now it seems like it will last forever. A little over a week ago I had something very hurting happen to me. I almost couldn't handle it, but yesterday, and day before when I posted these gorgeous sun shines, I began to feel better. Then today I was reminded of the words on a little plate that my daughter gave me several years ago. They seemed to have spoken to me audible “When God closes one door He opens another.” I did not know that God had closed that door, but there is no doubt now that He did. Already another door has been opened, and I am praising my Lord every second. God knew what was best for me, and He knew how to make it happen, even though I hurt so badly for over a week. I can now accept anything bad that I tried so hard not to let happen, but I had to let go, and let God take care of things His way. What an unbelievable miracle. I feel so free, and have such sweet peace. If this is what comes when my sunshine has been taken away, I say give me more of rainy days.

What most of us don't know God has a way of blocking the brain from thinking about bad things. We cannot possible do that on our own. But we do know how to ask for peace, and that is how God gives it to us. “Not by might, not by power, but by Spirit sayeth the Lord.” We have people who claim to be educated to the extent that they can teach one how to control their mind. I'm sorry, but I will never believe, nor want to believe that theory. Only God can teach us how to control our minds. That is why He asks us so many times to trust Him. If we don't trust Him, then He cannot help us. I will never try and open that door again, but if God decides to open it for me, then I will know He was working behind that closed door all the time. If that doesn't happen then I will know it was not meant to be. I will still trust God for new doors to be opened in my life. I thank my Lord for His great Love, and understanding, but most of all for His almighty power.
