Our first home we had built in 1959. I took this picture today 11-2 2018 Perryton, TX
I was out driving today
taking pictures of the pretty colorful leaves on plants and trees
when I passed my first home place after moving to Perryton, Texas 62
years ago. My daughter was two years old, and now she is 61. We had
this home built because the housing situation was so bad. We had
lived in Perryton almost three years before we decided to build our
own home. We lived there nine years before having the home built that
we now live in. There are so many precious memories flooding my soul
today till I had to write about some of them. I have lived the life
of a young wife, and mother here in Perryton for 59 years. This city
has improved every year since we've been here. It is known as The
Wheatheart of The Nation. In my books it is also known as The
Sweetheart of The Nation. My husband and a three day old baby son are
buried here. I am sorry, but the many wonderful memories will never
pass away no matter how hard I try to forget. However I am enjoying
my life just living alone. There is no place like home. I am
privileged to communicate with my computer, and talk on my phone all
I want. I have many friends here who are truly friends, and that
means everything to me. I also love reaching out to help others.
After saying all of the
above I need to say something else. Life is truly hard for every
human born in this world. We were born to suffer even though we don't
understand the reason. There are people living every day in such
unbearable conditions till some of us has to question God. Why Lord,
Why. I have to suffer more at the thought of how some people I know
are suffering much more than I. I suppose it helps us deal with our
own depression just knowing that we are blessed so much more than we
deserve. In olden days people lived to be several hundred years old.
Some were killed by the sword at a young age. I have to wonder if the
older living souls were blessed more than the younger ones who were
killed because of anger of some sort. I suppose that wonder could
even apply today. People who live longer lives today are surly just
enduring instead of enjoying. Why do people choose to keep living
when life gets so hard to bear? This world is full of mysteries, and
we are told not to question. Does that mean we will be awarded by our
trust In God? I believe it does, and I pray I will be just that
trustworthy. Let us be as little lambs being lead to the slaughter. I
do think attitudes is the biggest part of what makes us live longer,
painless lives.
God Bless
