"My Neighbor's Big Blue Eyes"

    My neighbor's big blue eyes Oh how they scare me. 5-2-2020 Perryton, TX

It's nice to see these big blue eyes peeking through the fence at me this morning. At least I can pretend. I sat out in the yard under a shade tree, and thoroughly enjoyed the warm weather. The birds, and a few flowers just starting to bloom was my only company. But it is refreshing just to get out of the house, and breath fresh air. I have noticed a few jets starting to fly again after it had bee three or four weeks since I had seen any. The battle is not over yet, but it is becoming to simmer down. The evil leftists are already planning another try at destroying our country. While they are mostly destroying themselves they are successfully destroying a few innocent, ignorant people also. That is just how life is. Those who believe in God, and his Almighty Power will never be defeated. Even so this Great Almighty Power will teach the surviving wounded believers how to adjust to a tremendous change that will have been made. I believe all of God's followers will be wounded in some way, but He is the Healer of them all. Victory is just a few more battles away. I hope more people will get their eyes opened to what is really happening to this Great Creation. Satan was able to win over a multitude of what used to be good people,  and God had to stop it once and for all. This is part of what President Trump called, “cleaning up the swamp.” It is happening, but few people realized how huge was

We have no idea what this world will look like once the swamp has been drained, but we do know God is the Master of all things, good or bad. “Trust Me, Trust Me,” is His advice to us. I have no problem with that. He does require great respect from us, and I praise Him for that. I'm reading in the Old Testament where people who committed unintentional sin had to still be forgiven, because sin is sin whether unintentional or not. That should make us all stop and think a little more seriously. In the book of Leviticus Aaron's two sons were killed by fire from heaven because they presented a burnt offering to the Lord, but the offering was not Holy because God had not told them to do so. This is after the two sons had offered burnt offerings with their father, Aaron, several times. No doubt this was an unintended sin, but they died without being forgiven of it. Aaron was very saddened, but kept silent. Family members were ordered to take the two dead priests by their clothes and carry them out of the sacred place and outside the camp. Read Leviticus chapter 10. I understand when God sent His Son, Jesus, to earth to die for all sins, it was supposed to do away with all other sacrifices, but I believe we still have to follow the command of the Holy Father, respect, and give praise unto Him only.

"Love Holds Us All Together"

Love is a gift from God. The best gift He ever gave me. Without it, life is miserable. 5-1-2020 Perryton, TX

91 degree is very hot when there is no breeze at all. I sat out for a few minutes in the shade of the apple tree, but it was still hot. I was able to catch a picture of these two love birds who didn't seem to mind the heat at all. They were perched high upon a radio tower in my back yard. This has been a meeting place for several kind of different birds for many years. My son, Rick, put this tower up for his ham radio when he was a junior in high school. That was 51 years ago. Too long not to worry about it tumbling over one of these days. I need to check my liability insurance on my home. Sometimes I forget that insurance policies do change from time to time. Anyway this place would not be the same if this tower would be taken down. It holds a lot of sweet memories, not to mention the birds still love to meet there. I don't get to see Rick very often, but I talk with him on the phone weekly. Houston is about 14 hundred miles from where I live. Time has a way of keeping us apart when we begin to grow old. But the love just grows deeper, and sweeter. Life is an unfair wonder which can never be changed.

I made a trip to Liberal, Kansas today to pick up my oldest son's skoal. He orders a three month supply since it is much cheaper in Kansas. I need to make the 45 mile trip that often to get things that I can't get here at home. It works out for both of us. I saw a bad accident on my way there. I don't think any injuries happened, but a huge piece of a windmill tower being hauled on an over-sized truck somehow got wrecked, and several police vehicles were flashing red lights everywhere. I was able to get through by driving very slowly. It must be that the economy has opened back up, because a lot more traffic was on the highway than I've ever seen on this route before. The Wall Mart parking lot was filled, and many shoppers were buying things filling their grocery carts to over flowing. About half of the customers were wearing masks, and there was no limit as to how many could go in the store at once. Even so the atmosphere was not the same as before the shut down. It was obvious that people are still very nervous. The thrill of shopping just wasn't there. I couldn't wait to get out of that store. It will take a long time, if ever, till things will be the same. But I am thankful for what our President Trump has been able to do for us so far. I still believe God will make a way for his believers to escape much of the hardship. He promised us in the beginning of our knowledge of Him that His peace He would leave with us always. I trust Him now, and always.

"Shout Out To The Perryton Senior Citizen Center"

I apologize for the poor picture of our Senior Citizen's Center I took today. The sun was too bright, but until after I got home I didn't realize it. The fact is this building is state of the art, and we are very proud of it. My blog story today is about a miraculous blessing God has given the Seniors since the shut down of of our economy. I want to tell you a little bit about this building, and the wonderful people who attend it.

In 2003 a few Senior Citizens got together and decided to build a big, state of the art building for the older people. A good amount of land was purchased, and several people pledged to give generously for making this dream a reality. There were no state or local funds available to apply to this building project. The good thing about that is it would be sovereign, and the members could do anything they pleased without having to answer to anyone in government enmities. On the other hand all financial expenditures would have to come from donations, and a slight profit from meals that would be served. Stepping out on faith the good seniors decided to go for it.

I do not have all the details about the cost of this facility, but it is a 40,000 feet building with everything modern, and well designed for many different uses the members can use to help bring in money. I do not know what the yearly budget is, but I'm sure it is large for a membership of less than 200.The membership fees are very minimal, and without a good attendance of diners, it would be impossible to meet the budget. For seventeen years this special, social, and non social, place has been thriving. With all that being said when the United States announced an economy shut-down, for all states, and businesses except for essential, I wondered if The Senior Citizen's Center would ever open for dining again. It was allowed to keep serving meals, but only the kitchen help, and a few other needed workers were allowed inside. Orders had to be called in, and picked up at the door. I am one that mostly went to the Center for the great fellowship, and constant fun while dining there. I have not been one of those dependable members that supported the Center, mostly because I had such a negative attitude about the future of our entire country. I tried to stay positive, but I would be up one day, and down the next. I was home alone most of the time watching bad news all day long.

Now for the most wonderful news I've head yet. The director of the Center puts a news letter in our local paper every week. She was so grateful for all the generous support she had been receiving. I truly believe she is a big part of all this donated money only because of her unmatched good humor. It means so much to discouraged people. Plus there are others who were able to add a lot of positivism to this wounded livelihood. In her news letter she said some people had donated their entire stimulants check to the Center. $1,200. Can you not say this was a miraculous blessing? So far all is well with our Center, but negative me still wonders about the future. I'm hanging in, because I, myself have been blessed beyond imagination, still I worry.
