"I Treasure Every Gift I Got On Jesus Birthday"

What a great Christmas I had this year. I am so thankful to all who helped make it such a wonderful event. Every gift on the table was given in honor of Jesus, the Christ. Thank you Jesus for all those lovely gifts. Today is the first day since I've been home that I felt like putting Christmas stuff away. I have been sick with a bad cold, but am finally feeling mush better. Even a cold can't sap my victory. I feel so blessed, and am seeing my prayers answered every day. I hear some people say, well God don't answer my prayers. I say to them, put on your spiritual glasses, and you can see, lest you are unwilling to accept what God gives you. You must first be thankful for the little things before you can receive big, and better things. If we put on our spiritual glasses, the little things suddenly become much larger. I am thankful that I wake up every morning in my comfortable bed, instead of a hospital. I'm thankful that I can still proclaim the Gospel of Christ without being killed. I'm thankful that I know God forgives me of my sins every day. I'm thankful for His promise that He will never leave me, nor forsake me. The answer to these prayers are for everyone if they are true to God, and don't try to make a fool of Him. We have to remember we are only alive today because of the mercy of God. If anyone refuses to believe that, then it's possible they won't recognize God's blessing to them. The biggest mistake people make when asking God to help them is they lie thinking that will help. Sorry, but it don't work. Your sins will find you out no matter how smart you think you are. We must start at the bottom of our sinful life, and confess everything to God. He will them led us through His Word to victory over every problem. Yes, I'm saying every true believer will read Gods Word. Eat. drink, and be merry, then take advantage of God's pleasures. No person is without sin, therefore remember to ask God to forgive you for the sin you have committed each day that you may not be aware of. We cannot be perfect, but God tells us to strive to be perfect.

I have delivered my message today, and hopefully someone will be helped in some way by it. Again I'm thankful that God gave me these words to write. I ask Him to not let these words return to Him void. I hope everyone will have a Happy, and blessed New Year. As for me I will positively be such a one, because I will not let Satan rob me of my faith. May I hear an amen? I did hear you, and I will ask God to increase your faith.

"I Am Better Today Than Yesterday"

Today is the first day I've seen the sun since I have been home from Christmas, 5 days ago. 1-1-2019 Perryton, TX

 

Perryton, Texas has had some very cold weather since Christmas. A lot of people have been sick, including me. I can't remember for sure when I've been sick from cold weather, but I know it's been years. I have been sick for a week, and still am not well. Today was the first day I've been out of the house since I came home. It is also the first time I've seen the sun. I was thrilled to see it, and snapped a picture before it went away. At 4 o'clock in the afternoon the temperature is still just 22 degrees. The wind makes it seem colder. I could not wait any longer to go buy groceries, so I rushed by people without speaking. I bought two cans of germ spray, and gave my house a thorough spraying. I don't want anyone to come over and catch this awful cold. I expect another week before I will be completely over it. My system is full of juices, and cold medicine.

I failed to eat black eyed peas today. I didn't have any on hand, and I don't care about eating them alone anyway. I think it's just a fun thing to do instead of absolute. However, this is my first time to miss in many years. If I hadn't been sick I would have gone out with friends and ate black eyed peas. It's too late now because the first day of the New Year is almost over.

Although my body is sick, and I don't feel my best, I'm still happy, and have great plans for the future. I'm just anxious for spring to arrive. By the way, my cold is helping me lose some of the pounds I've gained over the holidays. I am happy about that. I am not excited about taking down Christmas decorations. My cold has caused me to put that off, and the longer I put it off the worse I dread doing it. Also I have missed over two weeks of attending the luncheons at Senior Citizens Center. I was gone 10 days, and have been shut inside my home since I've been back. It will be several more days before I can start back. I miss those luncheons a lot.

I am staying close to the television these days. Part of our government is shut down, and all of the jealous democrats, and some republicans, are willing to see the people suffer instead of seeing the President be successful. I cannot turn the other cheek to this one. I am asking God to use His whip on all who are too stupid to know that there is a God. They will soon be finding out who is bigger than they. I am more than ready for this battle to grow into a huge plague that will affect all selfish power seekers, and put Christ into our country again. We are still serving the same God that led the Israelite's out of Egypt's bondage. “Dear Lord please lead America out of bondage from evil Satanic followers, and let them drown in the flooded waters, whatever they may be.”

I have a suggestion for all Christians for a New Year's resolution. Tomorrow is the first day of the New Year, 2019. If you will do this you will build your faith beyond all imagination. Take you Holy Bible, KJV, place it near your bed with a sheet of typing paper folded, an ink pen, and your glasses if you need them. Starting with chapter one in the first book of the bible, Genesis, read the whole chapter before going to bed. Take your pen and write on the typing paper Genesis 1, cross it out, and mark 2. Read that chapter tomorrow night. Do this in consecutive order for the entire year. Read only one chapter a night no matter how short. or how long, they are. You probably won't finish the bible in a year, but continue on with the next year. After reading the chapter always kneel by your bed and pray. (talk to God personally, and sincerely, because He is real and hears every word you say.) Never start crying and ask for pity. When you cry your heart out, let it be for thanksgiving that He saved you by His Grace, and Mercy. Thank Him for listening to you, thank Him for answering you, if you have simply asked for forgiveness for sins committed today. Thank Him for wisdom you have asked for, You asked, He giveth. Ask Him to keep you, and your family safe and well. I don't believe we should ask God for anything that we specifically want, because He is our Father, and He knows best. If we will just pray for the things I listed, God will add to our desire, even though it may be something even better.

As you can see the bible I have posted is barely holding together, but it is worth a million dollars to me. Many of the pages have marks drawn under verses from years back when I was reading. Those marks meant something back then, but I cannot tell you what. That same verse could mean something different today. God speaks to us through His word, and we should always remember. I must have probably a dozen bibles in my home, but this is the only one I read. I've even noticed where I have marked a date with a minister's name on a sermon they preached on many years ago. Precious memories, how they linger.

I have never been this outspoken before about my experience with God, but I felt it was time to let people know without a doubt, that God, and His Son, Jesus Christ. is real, and I cannot do that without involving my own personal experience. I believe there comes a time in everyone's life that they have to have a personal experience with God. That is if they ever expect to find perfect peace, and wisdom to know the difference between right and wrong. There is no other way to find that satisfaction. and assurance until we get sincere with God. It's there for you, believe me.
