"Sunshine After Rain"
Yah! The sun is shinning this morning after 48 hours of rain. Happy, happy. 5-2-2016 Perryton Texas
What a gorgeous sunshine this morning. After forty-eight hours of rain it is now fixing to make things start growing like crazy. The bright sun is telling me so. No more dark clouds for awhile. I love that feeling, and plan to get out of my recliner to start working. I started a painting awhile back of Melania Trump. I will now finish it while the sun shines. She is a joy to paint since I believe she will be our next First Lady. She is one beautiful and classy lady. The painting I am doing of her has her sitting in a Royal-like chair. She is dressed in a floor length blue formal. Her legs are showing from the knees down. Her hair is long and pulled to one side. A very dramatic shot of her. It will be a large picture when I mount it in the lovely frame. I have already painted her husband, Donald Trump, just after he announced his candidacy for president. His painting hung at the Senior Citizen’s Center for several months. An artist puts hundreds of hours of almost excruciating pain into every painting they complete. The satisfaction they feel when the subject is finished is worth every minute of their time. The problem is I never want to stop working with my painting to let the paint dry so I can continue with it. I loose my extreme emotion, and have to start all over again. I understand it is good for an artist to change their mind from time to time. After pondering with the subject something may become more important than first thought. My passion is art, and I am thankful that I can keep occupied for hours with it.
I mentioned on my blog yesterday that my mother would be 102 on the 4th of this month, (May). I must say that my dad would be 117 on the 16th of this month. Both parents have stayed alive in my heart. It’s like they almost still live with me. I loved them dearly, and will always regret that I didn’t tell them that more often. Somehow I thought actions spoke louder than words, and I know both of my parents knew by my actions to them that I loved them. I used to think when one dies and leaves this earth they will never remember anything about the life they lived while here. However, I do believe we will be read our earthly deeds and we will remember them. Thereafter I don’t know what to expect since the Word tells us that, “we are not to know the mysteries of God.” I will never try to tell God the way I want things to be when I get to heaven. I have His promises that all will be much better than this earthly life. I look forward to being there. Fear never leaves us until after the last breath, but the Word also tells us “death is our last enemy.” Everyone must face it. Peace is for us if we trust God.

"May Day Thoughts"
The cloud in the east looks like more rain. We have had two days of it already. Green is everywhere. 5-1-2016 Perryton, Texas.
Love the green and healthy looking grass. 5-1-2016 Perryton, Texas.
I didn’t get flowers put on my door today. I really missed them. Last May-day I was blessed with a nice bouquet of assorted flowers. This May-day it is cold and rainy. I can see why the children were kept at home. My blessing go out to them anyway. We are grateful for the rain, but the cold weather is not something I appreciate. I believe we have several more days of it predicted. The nights get down into the low thirties. Quite unusual for May. I am thankful that no tornados have been spotted near our area. Also the floods that have killed several people in other areas is a very bad situation. It makes me want to stay put where I have been living for the past sixty years.
I received a Mother’s Day card from my youngest son yesterday. I don’t know if he thought today was Mother’s Day, or whether he couldn’t wait to tell me how much he loves me. I love that child so much till I’m glad he sent it a week early. Its because of all the love my children show me that I’m still able to do all my work and enjoy living. They are worth every tear I shed for them, every bad word I spoke to them, and every dime I spent on them to make them smart and sassy. We went through life’s ups and downs, and now we are laughing about all the impossible things we conquered. They all know how good God has been to us.
Troubles and trials still do come our way, but never without a way to get through them. At the end of the day they weren’t as bad as we had thought at first. It’s the lack of faith that makes us worry. If Jesus’ own disciples lacked faith how can we be more steadfast than they? I believe Jesus understands our weaknesses, and while He may scold us, He does not leave us wanting. We should all understand that it is wrong for us to blame someone else for our own mistakes. Jesus does not approve of that. Let us accept our own mistakes, correct them, and thank God for the grace He gave us to do it. Repentance is necessary for a sweet peace of mind when we have wronged someone. As much as it hurts our ego, we must confess our guilt before God. Unless we are sincere we need not confess. It did not change a thing if we held back the real feeling of sorrow. Is that hard to do? Yes, but with the grace of God we can let it all go. If I have no other friend in the world but Jesus, I can live my life. The truth is if we have Jesus we have everything.
That concludes my message today. Take it or leave it. Only those for whom it was meant for will take it with appreciation.

Showers of blessings. Flower beds and streets are standing in water. Thank you Lord for the nice rain. 4-29-2016 Perryton, Texas.
Its so nice to see everything looking so green. 4-29-2016 Perryton, Texas.
I was awaken this morning at 4:00 by hail beating on my roof. I looked out to see slight hail mixed with rain. It was thundering and lightening. I just said, “thank you Lord,” and went back to bed. We have had a nice rain, but the sun is shinning now. What a blessing it has been. The grass was getting dry, and I was fixing to water today. I love all the blessings God gives us, and I truly let Him know it. He deserves our thanks, and praise. We deserve nothing. Every day is a challenge for me. I wait patiently for another blessing to happen. I was also blessed this morning with a call from a dear friend who lives in another city. I always enjoy visiting with her because she has a way of lifting my spirits. Later I called my sister in Oklahoma City. That was another blessing to me. She has such a positive attitude in spite of a lot of hardships she endures daily. I look forward to the times when I can spend some time with her. I have a very good friend who lives in Oklahoma City who I enjoy visiting with also. She is suppose to call me later today when her company leaves. She is always on a victory note, and her words bring joy to me. Nothing can do one more good on a wet, cloudy day than to have friends and loved ones to chat with awhile.
I can say that I also share my blessings with others. I am so happy when I have shared a few dollars with hungry families. We don’t have to look far to find such a case as that. The Lord told us to divide our bread with the hungry, and to cover the naked. I love doing these things because Jesus said, “as often as you do this unto the least, you do it unto me.” This life is all about giving, and receiving. Nothing else is as important as that. I like to give, and I like to receive. When this life is over, and we enter into the gates of heaven we will be shown all of the good things we have done for others. Unfortunately we will be shown all the things we failed to do also. “Work for the night is coming when man’s work will be no more.” If everyone was smart and didn’t make mistakes, there would be no hungry of clothe less. That is to say Jesus knew everyone would not be perfect, and even though we were to share. Ourselves are included in that group. We all lose a game now and then. Some lose more times than others. Then there are some who seem to have the game mastered. Where ever I fit in, I want to share with the biggest losers. They just didn’t have the Excellency to win. Jesus loves them anyway. Let us love them too. We must love the sinner, but hate the sin.
