"Study To Show Thyself Approved"

1 3/4 inch of rain last night in Perryton, TX. 10-8-2018 Perryton TX

We are rejoicing today for the good amount of moister we got last night. I have posted the rain gauge that shows 1 3/4 inch of rain. The sun is shinning nicely now, and everyone is happy for the moisture. We just had drizzle for three days, and it was causing cabin fever because of the dark, dreary weather that no one wanted to get out in. Today has brought us laughter again, and we thank God for seeing our sad faces those three days. He truly blessed us with a good rain, and the sunshine afterwards.

I had my good lunch, and great fellowship at the Center today. It was nice to see all the smiling faces again. Today is Columbus Day, and many of the business institutions are closed, but our good, faithful, Senior Citizen's Center was open with everything quite the normal. Always an uplifting place to go. Three of the ladies from my table had been on a trip to Branson Missouri. They were eager to share their excitement with the rest of the group. This kind of pep talk happens often since most of our members are retired, and go on trips a lot. Each time we leave the place we look forward to the next time we meet. It's almost like having lunch in our own home with many friends to share the food that we didn't have to cook. A family like atmosphere, to say the least.

The curtain is closed on our performance at the end of every day. Yes the act is over, and the judge will decide the outcome. According to the bible every person will be judged, and given the yea, or nay, of the act they performed. Many people don't know this but the bible tells us every deed we do is recorded in the book of our lives. We should be asking ourselves these questions. Was my acts all true? Were they as God commanded us to live by? Were we afraid to say what really came to our mind when we told someone they were great Christians? Most of us are guilty of that one. Are we guilty of adultery? Are we bearing children out of wedlock? Are we aborting our children because we don't want them? Are we giving others all the blame for things we did that we knew was wrong? Are we teaching our children the word of God? And being an example for them? I can truly say I was taught by parents by example to live by God's word as possibly as we could. They knew that no one was perfect, but they never failed to teach, “we reap what we sow, whether done in ignorance or willingly.” I write this bit of truth from God's word because I read in it where we are all teachers of his word, and if we fail we are sinning against Him. It will go down in our book of performance. Not only will we be judged on that great and notable day, but today, and tomorrow, also

God Bless
Myrtle Jean Sharp
