The Easter symbol has always been a thrill to children including me. #-28-2018 Perryton. TX
My Easter memories go back to when I was a very small child carrying a basket lookingfor colored eggs. It was one of the most exciting times of my life. My family always planned some kind of gathering with other family members, and cooked lots of good food to share. The grown ups hid the eggs, and the children hunted for them. There were usually boundaries marked off for the little children to hunt in. The eggs were pretty noticeable, but the older children had to hunt for theirs. I can't remember ever not having a new dress for Easter. My mother made my cloths with a sewing machine. She was a good seamstress. The boys never cared about new cloths, and I was eight years older than my oldest sister. I had two more sisters born later, but by then I was way past the age of hunting Easter eggs. I was making my own cloths by then.
My childhood days were
much different from children's of today. Back then when you saw a
child with just one parent it was usually because one parent had been
taken away by death. Today many children have never had two parents
in their home. The older generation have a hard time fathoming this
accepted part of society today. We feel like the younger generation
have been let down by lack of bible teaching, and example living
parents. The generations to follow can only be farther, and farther
away from the plan of the Great Creator. Where will it finally lead
to? More, and more, suffering, confusion, depression, and yes,
destruction of the innocent. Everyone likes to hear only good news
today, but let me be clear, much bad news is still coming. Worse than
we've ever heard before, if that can be possible. How can we stand
it. Only by the mercy of God, and a deep trust in Him. Much of the
neglect I have just mentioned could be improved if only people would
admit, and accept their fault in all of this. Change is what we need,
starting in the heart of every living human creature. Even from those
who want to be free from any responsibility but love. Admit, repent,
and change the way we have failed to carry out God's plan for a
prosperous, happy life. I truly believe more people have been moved
by the Holy Spirit to re-dedicate their lives to God for better or
for worse. I hope it will continue, and if it does, a way of
redemption will be made by our Heavenly Father. There is one thing I
am sure of, God will not put more on His faithful servants than they
are able to bear. That is a promise from Him that I have stood upon
for many years. I have endured much suffering, and false accusations,
over the years, but I have always been able to keep my faith in a God
who never fails. Never, never, never.
God Bless
