A nice crowd attended the Ed Montana show today at the Center. We old people felt twenty years younger when his show was over. He sang songs that we heard when we were teen ager's. A two hour show didn't force the older crowd to leave early.
They all left feeling
excited, and much younger than when they came. That is what our
Senior Citizen's Center is all about. If you want to stay young and
lively, just start attending the luncheons offered three times a week
at the Center. Plus other dinners and entertainment offered there
also. Tomorrow will be a special treat day since grilled hamburgers
will be served. It will be a short week since Friday is Good Friday,
and there will be no meal that day. I have to say thanks to some of
the wonderful members who make this place so interesting.
I will be gone over the
Easter week-end. I will be traveling with a friend as far as Abilene
where I will be visiting with my son and daughter-in-law. We will
return home on Sunday. Chuck will be here to take care of my house.
It's always good to see my children who live several hundred miles
from me, and not very often do I get to see them. I feel so blessed
to have been invited to travel with this friend to see them. I am
hoping to get to see a grandson, and his wife also. They live a
little over an hour away, and I will be taking an inheritance gift
from his grandfather with me. I know he is anxious to get it. This is
the son of my daughter. I have an over due hug for him also, since he
has recently been promoted on his job. A wonderful couple with a
sweet little daughter.
A good many people are
upset about President Trump signing the 1.3 trillion ominous bill
this week. I have been made known that this is only a temporary
spending bill, and not a budget. It has been pointed out that the
President can spend this money any way he wants, or not spend it at
all. It was made clear that Obama did just that with the ominous
bill. The money that this bill had approved for the military was a
major win for the President, but he don't have to use the money for
just what it was appropriated for. Therefore he can take all the
money and apply it to the wall. This is suppose to be a correct fact,
and if so everyone who supported President Trump should be shouting.
I have said many times this President will not be out smarted by any
liberal, bar none. He knows exactly what he is doing. Can I hear an
amen? “Oh ye of little faith. How long must you disbelieve?”
Christ's own words. Don't panic people. We are fighting this evil
battle with God's chosen leader. We don't have to understand, just
trust. Keep praying, and you will keep trusting.
